This project involved constructing a 3200 sqm Asphalt stand around existing sheds and infrastructure. The significant challenge with this job was the lack of falls across this site. The client did not want stormwater pipes and pits installed. We were dealing with grades of 0.6% throughout most of the site. We utilised the accuracy of our Laser grader to meet the fine tolerances required to shed water and avoid pooling. We were able to deliver a quality project to the client ahead of schedule and on budget.

We were engaged by Karora Resources to construct a new concrete refuelling bay for their underground dump trucks and other mining equipment to refuel. The consulting engineers had designed the refuelling bay to take a fully loaded underground dump truck at a weight of more than 100 tonnes. The design had 2 concrete bays that drained to a central pit.

Due to the expansion of the Beta Hunt mine, Karora Resources required a new area for their geologists to work undercover whilst logging core samples. We were contracted to construct a 22m × 5m wide concrete slab with a Lean-to style roof cover.

Water Corp required a backup power supply for their remote Wiluna pump station. We were engaged to build a concrete bunded pad to capture Diesel for any potential spill that could occur. We were also required to construct a Lean-to style roof covering to protect the generator and other assets from the harsh Wiluna sun. The main challenge with this project was its remote location. The nearest concrete batching plant was 2.5 hours south. We decided to engage Northfields and their mobile truck-mounted batching plant. This allowed us to have fresh concrete on site. We were able to produce a product that was to a high standard and exceeded the client’s expectations.

This project involved constructing a 1500 sqm hardstand area and over 60 precast blocks for Total Asphalt’s new batching plant.

Norton Goldfields contracted us to construct and install precast footings for 3 x 100,000-litre Modular Diesel tanks. These tanks supply fuel for the new Power Station at Binduli North mine. Part of the job also required over 300m of trenching for the installation of the fuel lines and other services between the tanks and the power station.

As an erosion mitigation project, we were required to construct a large concrete apron at the base of Gribble Creek. The banks were lined with Miracell panels, which were filled with concrete.

Flex Industries required the installation of their new Brake testing equipment at their Kalgoorlie workshop. This involved cutting through the workshop floor, excavating for the new footings, and pouring the concrete for the brake testing equipment.
